Tech Tech Tech I
As said, last week was CES (Consumer Electronic Show) and these 2 weeks are reports weeks for all tech companies, there are something interesting to see these 2 weeks.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Let’s see, for the main companies, we have Intel, Apple and Motorola this week… and we have Texas Instrument, Yahoo, Microsoft, Nokia, eBay next week, very eventful weeks…
You can delete behind if all companies are boring to you, but I just want to let you know how price is controlled by not result, but by news…
Already announced, Intel and Apple, both have very good, and historical selling result, however, for Intel, people think they cannot keep that pace as AMD is going to produce dual core CPU as well (in June?!) so price is down after its announcement…
Then for Apple, if you remember the biggest news of tech last week, iPhone, its price was super high to $97.8 from year low of 50.61. Hmm… why are people so unclear to support the stock so expensive that now even the company can sell ipod 21million ipod in only 3 months is still not enough? Actually, iPhone will really hurt the sales of iPod from June, and today, LG already has announced a phone hype with Prada looks more or less like the iPhone… Fighting in mobile phone business is not so easy, even for music handheld giant Apple. After their announcement of iPhone, not iPod micron etc, trend of buying iPod will be reconsidered by customers.
Why people don’t like to listen music on phone? Because they are not using a SonyEricsson phone, or because of form factor or battery life issue, or even the software to sync songs is not that easy compare with ipod… Well, tomorrow, the disappointing Motorola will announce their result. Maybe because of their pre-amp notice which sent their stock from 20.5 to 18.5, however, even for you, you can easily imagine, in these 6 months, is there any Motorola phone catching your eyes? Ming? Or only remember Ho-wan-see? Hmm… it is a poor week for Nasdaq.
Next week, I am more interested in Yahoo, Nokia and eBay, I want to know how Yahoo’s new advertisement platform doing, can Nokia boost up their earning per phone sale as well as to maintain their market leadership, and how eBay and its Skype doing… I think they probably will bring good news next week after their week disappointment. Well, Microsoft, $30 is already enough, are you really having that much time to install vista to test bug for Microsoft now? Hmm… maybe not now, now is time for bed. :P
