Feynman - Surely You Are Joking
This is the most influencial book in my life.
From this book, I obtained two things:
- I love Science
- I don't hate reading
Since then I read a lot, I chase reading books. People think I read hard, but before that, I also feel headach in front of text...
Many many thanks to the person who introduced this book to me. Mrs. Tinker, was my Physic Teacher in Sixth Form in Wells. She was a teacher with heart who taught me how to have fun in physics.
I thought a lot since young, but in HK, I hardly to bring some of my experiment in practise. In Wells, I have had many chances to do "My Experiment". I felt that the lab is mine! I think because Mrs. Tinker saw my enthusiasm. One day, after lesson, she saw me still playing around in the lab. She took me over and gave me a book. I didn't refuse, since I am an obedient student.
It is really interesting. For a Nobel Prize winner, how had so many interesting thoughts and the good thing is, he could perform what he thought. Not many people in the life can do the same. Science is not boring, just people not good at maths try to aviod it.
Anyway, I receommend people to read this as well, as it indeed shows one man's charater, and that man later from another book, "What do you care what the other people think?"I gave all my respect to him and regard him as my idol, Richard P. Feynman.
